Changing Trust : Preparation and Action

This is for experience sharing as one of the IMG doctors.

1. From ESR

- download all payslips and P60.

- Update your new address on ESR so that they send you your P45.

- It takes 3 to 5 weeks for the trust payroll department to send u P45.

2. Request a letter from HR confirming employment dates, your name and position, and that you didn't take any unauthorized leaves (For ILR application later, we need 5 years of record)

= call be known as Absence leave letter

- If possible, mention dates of annual leave. OTHERWISE don't worry. e.g.

-Dr. XYZ has worked from (date) to (date) as SHO/JCF/REG/consultant in the department of XYZ in (hospital/trust name) and all his/her leaves are authorized and paid

3. Download your completed and signed appraisal.

4. Download your record of mandatory learning

  - This help to save time, you need no-repeat the training twice.

  - There should be a record of completion and expiration date.

  - Get it from your old trust, and submit it to your new trust.

5. Request your occupational health records.

  - Keep it in a good record, with your vaccination history.
