My first NHS email

This post aims to share my personal experience. 

NHS email :  nhs.net    https://portal.nhs.net/Home


After the induction, I was given my first NHS personal email account. 

I enjoy the privilege. 

Yet I met the first obstacle with the NHS email account when  I tried to send out my first email. 

Everything went fine. I was able to receive and read the daily emails from the trust. 


Why?

Ans: It is because I haven't agreed with the user's policy.



Step 1: Go to the portal. You need to log in first. (at the right top corner). 

I used to go straight to the " access email". 



Step 2: Fill up the personal detail and security questions. Agree with the term and conditions. 

Tips: You need to remember by hard your security questions and answer, as it will be used when you forget your NHS password or NHS mail is locked. 




Then you will be asked to log out. They need to process it and it will take some time. 
Maybe 1-2 days.

My NHS Interview Experience

I got two interviews.  I accepted one of the offers and I stop applying for jobs.  Congratulations to receive the job interview. An overview of NHS interview.   Usually, it starts with  introducing yourself (tell about your cv),  then clinical and ethics questions,  last Questions, and Answers.   Usually, each interview took 15-20mins time only .  You should be precise.  > Some interviews could email you beforehand and request you to prepare with a presentation/ teaching. Things that you should do as soon as possible after arrived in UK for your first job

This is my personal experience.  I feel lost at the beginning of this tunnel.  These articles aim to help IMG to figure out what to do, as an outline of reference.  The detail of trust or local induction will not be discussed here. Very important 1. Occupational health clearance -date will be given, take blood for hep, MMR, TB (IGRA) - varies with trust/ local policy - Most trusts allow the new starter to work only after the occupational clearance. Some trust does allow you to start the observation/ shadowing without it.  - The test takes one day (just go to take your blood), the appointment may take one week to book, the result could be out in 1 to 2week's time depending on trust.  Tips : Try to book as soon as possible.
