Work Life Balance in UK

Do you able to get work balance in UK? My answer : Yes .  You should be back on time as per your work schedule.  My consultant in A&E told me before, in the last hours of your work shift. Do not clerk new patients, start to organize and prepare to go back. Sometimes, we are allowed to go back 30mins before our shift after we had handover. As my consultant understands that you should not exceed work time and that 30minutes you can't clerk new patients. Yet, it is depends on who you are working with.  Tips : Know your bosses' expectations and ways. Apart from work, work-life balance (your time) depends on how much you are eager to do and how much time you are giving yourself (the deadline).  In UK, if you want to become a trainee, you need do-the-service (clinic service/ ward work), learning, and portfolio building Besides, you can explore lots of other opportunities (e.g. academic or non-academic). In you are staying in UK (especially London), you can get anything. You can h

Shall I go to UK as a Malaysian Doctor

This is a very personal and subjective question. Only you know yourself better. Advice to My Fellow IMG Colleague/ Malaysian Colleague who wants to land in the UK Why? why? why come to UK?  I will strongly advise knowing what you want in your life, as the ground to answer this question.  Please know the work-life balance, life is not all about medicine or a career.  When you feel lost, sit down, calm down, and give yourself time to make a decision, especially if it is a big decision in life.  Search for the information - google and youtube are the best search engine I used daily.  There are different elements in our life - including family, loved ones, friends, and careers or pursuit of "Me myself".  Taken from  https://lastheplace.com/2021/06/24/self-actualization-achieving-ones-full-potential/ . The Art of Communication

We always need to constantly work on our communication skills.  1. Think about the "Big environment"  - no just thinking about yourself, your situations - consider what your negotiating partner wants 2.  Use "We" rather than "I" - Don't use " I need this....." - Use " We need to work together for...." 3. Ask about the other parties thinking/ have an open conversation - Find a solution for them - Do you think this works for you?  Reference Ashleigh Shelby Rosette (No year).  Negotiation Thinking Communally. UK Driving licence theory test and My note

This is my experience sharing, data collection, and personal note ( done on August 2022).  A. Office Website:  https://www.gov.uk/theory-test/revision-and-practice B. My experience as a Malaysian Driver I recommend studying for 2 weeks if you are working on sfhit.  Take the first weeks to study the book or question bank, then do the mock question bank.  If you are in rush and want to try to be fast, some people even say they can just study for 4 hours or 4 days. Intensive study for the last 1-2 days is strongly recommended.  I personally felt that the traffic law and rules in UK are much more complex than in Malaysia.  Why?  It involved different users like cyclists, pediatricians, cars, public transport, and ANIMAL (horse), which is not common in Malaysia traffic roads.  There are tram and puffin crossing too.  I used 4 in one apps, which cover driving theory tests and hazard perception.  Officially there are three books to read (refer to the official website, the first link given in
