How to act on GMC email in regard to revalidation?

This is a very common question.

What do I  need to do?

After around one month of full GMC registration, you will receive an email from GMC asking about a connection (trust/ employer/workplace) for your revalidation.

It will be looking like this.

Tips: Don't be worry even if you are not yet having a job. You will be given one year time to submit your connection. If you still can't get a connection, you will be asked to give out your license. Don't be worry, you can get back your license again at any time after that with the submission of a few documents.
      - including a good standing certificate from the current licensing body and GEN form from your consultant/ colleague that you working with (it can just take to 4days to restore it)

If you have a doubt, you can refer to https://www.gmc-uk.org/registration-and-licensing/managing-your-registration/revalidation or you can call GMC. They are very helpful and understanding.

Step 1: Login into your portal. https://www.gmc-uk.org/gmc-online-dashboard and go to the revalidation part.

Step 2: Have a look at when is the deadline.

Step3: There are a few possibilities.
a.  If you don't have a connection. ( I am not working right now/ I am still finding a job). You can call GMC and informed them about it. They will make a note into their system. So that, they will not keep sending you the email to remind you and make you nervous about it.

b. I am going to start working. Yet, what should I do? When shall I put my designated body?
Ans: You can email your trust " revalidation team" and inform them about your start date and request them to allow you to put them as the designated bodies.

When?
You should work only after you had put your designated body in the GMC portal.
You are not supposed to work without filling it up.

How to get the email of trust's revalidation team
You can try to ask the hospital HR by calling them.
Another option is called to GMC and they can provide you the email address and person in charge of your trust.
Or the third option is you can get the email address when you had the key in the
hospital/trust into the designed body and confirmed it. There will be emails from the officer in charge reflect in the pages.
>> this step is options, the officer should be notified in regard to your request. If they removed you, you can get back to them later on. Or, it is up to you want to email them beforehand.

Reminder: Every time you change the workplace/job. You need to change the designated body accordingly. It is your duty and responsibility.

If you would like to add your designed body, you can just keep it in the GMC portal or call GMC for this purpose.
