Malaysian: How to get your Certificate of Good Conduct/ Police Clearance while you are in the UK?
This post aims to share my personal experience.
Certificate of Good Conduct/ Police clearance
Cost: free of charge when you are filling it online, yet upon the collection, you need to pay according to the method that you are using.
Where can I apply? Ans: apply using https://ekonsular.kln.gov.my/login
How long does it take? Ans: It can take up to 2-3weeks.
Be patient. You can start checking the portal more frequently in the second and third weeks.
It is normal that we feel anxious when waiting for it.
How can I collect it?
Option A: Ask someone/ your family to collect it in Consular Division, Malaysia with the appointed letter, and deliver it via post to you from Malaysia. (Malaysia to where you are)
One of my friends used this way, as he want to reduce the length of waiting for postage.
Consular counter operational opening hours are as follows:
MONDAY - THURSDAY: 9.00 AM - 4.00 PM
FRIDAY : 9.00 AM - 12.00 NOON, 2.45 PM - 4.00 PM
CLOSED: SATURDAY, SUNDAY, AND PUBLIC HOLIDAY
You may collect the certificate only if your status shows PASSED/ APPROVED/ LULUS. Please print the screenshot of the status or the collection slip. Kindly refer to the Guidelines on CGC, pages 11-15.
Please download MyVisitor KLN (Google PlayStore/Apple App Store) for check-in purposes to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs premises.
For the representative collecting this certificate please bring an authorization letter, the approval slip, ID card/passport copy, and cash for counter processing.
This certificate will not be sent through e-mail.
Please read Guidelines on CGC which can be found through the e-Konsular website (ekonsular.kln.gov.my) and our official website (www.kln.gov.my)
If you have an incomplete vaccination status on MySejahtera application or have difficulties with presenting your vaccination certificate, over-the-counter issuance of CGC could be delegated to eligible representatives acting on your behalf via letter of authorisation
For collection in Sabah/ Sarawak, applicants need to contact directly or send an e-mail to the Sabah Regional Office at pwsabah@kln.gov.my or Sarawak Regional Office at pwsarawak@kln.gov.my for further information regarding CGC collection.

I did Option B: Get it from the Consular Division of High Commission of Malaysia, London.
So I am going to discuss this method in more detail here.
Step 1: Email to lon.consular@kln.gov.my
- Write them an email (attached a picture of your "lulus" status in the ekonsular webpages), mentioning that you would like to collect the Certificate of Good Conduct in London. Due to Covid, they will request you to use a delivery method rather than face to face appointment. An example:
Step 2: Wait for their instruction
- They will send you an instruction. You need to prepare all those documents. Documents need as below:
- Just buy an envelop and put all those needed documents in it. Along with the £5.00 cash or postal order payable to "High Commission of Malaysia" and a return self-addressed PREPAID envelope for posting your certificates.
- For items 1 and 2 (refer to the picture above), I print them out as below.
- If you are unclear about how the delivery works, you can always ask the staff in the post office.

- If you are worried about the loss of your mail, you can choose to have tracking mail.
- They charged me £7.65 for each tracking mail (one way, aim to deliver by 1pm), you can choose one way or two way up tracking mail as you like, or even other options.
How long does the mail delivery back?
I used normal mail sending to Consular Division of High Commission of Malaysia, London on Thursday while returning using tracking mail. It took me one week.
